Nurse (HPC RN2)

Sam Sharpe Teachers College invites applications for the position of Nurse.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with at least 2 years experience in public health, general health  care or community nursing
• BSN in General Nursing from an accredited school of nursing
• Registered with the Nursing Council of Jamaica
• Sound knowledge of handling mental health related illnesses
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent knowledge in general nursing care
• Ability to perform CPR

Responsibilities

• Provide medical support and make referrals when necessary
• Record and update medical records and/or software
• Maintain patient confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential 
• Assist in the implementation of health programmes to promote healthy lifestyle to students and staff
• Keep up to date with MOH regulations and license requirements
